Course Cost: $395.00

Risk Management Processes course provides the skills and information required to carry out the Risk Management Processes in the Coal and Metalliferous mining industries. The competency is a statutory requirement to mining legislation for certain occupational categories. We recommend you enquire the requirements of the mining company you are or will be engaged by if the competency is a requirement. This training is delivered by agreement with Hazeldean Training and Development RTO 40500.

Qualification Issued

Participants who successfully complete this training program will be issued with:

  • RIIRIS402D – Carry Out the Risk Management Processes

Recommended refresher every 5 years.

The course is nationally recognised through inclusion on the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). Workplace Approved throughout Australia.

Target Audience

The course is relevant to those intending to manage risk for workers in the mining, resources and construction industry.

The purpose of this course is to introduce new and existing mine workers and mine construction supervisors to the requirements of recognised industry standard.

Recommended for students over 18 years with a supervisory role in or related to the mining industry.

Entry Requirements

It is recommended that students have sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course.

Appropriate clothing and enclosed footwear are required.

  • Identifying hazards
  • Assessing risk
  • Implementing Controls
  • Identifying unacceptable risk and potential actions
  • Revision and review of the risk process
  • Auditing
  • Document control (records and reports)
