Fire Warden

COURSE COST: $150.00

PUAWER005B – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation & CPPFES2005A - Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment. This course will provide participants with the knowledge, training and practical skills to effectively perform the role and responsibilities of building fire warden.

This fire warden training course is suitable for companies and organisations which require selected members of staff to be trained as building fire wardens, and will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage building emergencies. Participants will learn to recognise and manage the human behaviour characteristics which may surface during the high-stress times during an emergency.

Chief Fire Warden

PUAWER006B – Lead an emergency control organisation, PUAWER005B – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation and CPPFES2005A - Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

This course develops the leadership skills required to act in the role of Chief Warden during fire events. It covers the competency required to make decisions about people’s safety during a workplace emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to the emergency incident area.

People who undertake this course may act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival.

This unit has been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies and workplaces as considered in AS3745.
